Church of St. Philip and Jacob in the town of Tábor

The Church of St. Philip and James is located in the Pod Kotnovem park, from where it can be accessed. It is the oldest sacral building in the city, but it is located outside the historical center. It stands at the southern side of the former Kotnov castle.
 
The first mention of the church dates back to 1388. It originally had a Baroque appearance, but it was changed by Baroque modifications. The church stands on the site of a former cemetery and earlier…
