Svoboda nad Úpou - the bridge over the Úpou River
In ancient times, the first possible way to get from one bank of the Úpa to the other in today's Svoboda nad Úpou (formerly Freiheit) was by wading. The ford was located a little higher upstream than the current steel riveted bridge in 5. května Street.
