The extensive torso of the castle, also called Kostomlaty, rising on a prominent hill, not far from Kostomlat pod Milešovka. At the beginning of the 14th century (sometime around 1333, when the village of Kostomlaty was listed as part of the Osek manor), the lords of Osek built Sukoslav Castle on the site of an older hillfort of Slavic origin.
