Shields - Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

The Town of Two Thousand, whose historical core is a city monument zone, is part of the Zábřežsko microregion and is located in the Šumper district. The original names of the town were Schildberg and Šilperk, and the name Štíty has only been used since 1949. The former Šilperk, whose coat of arms is dominated by the Star of Šternber, became a city at the end of the first half of the 14th century. However, the first written mention of the village dates back to 1278.
