Shields – a church instead of a castle
The first mention of Šilperk, i.e. today's Štíty, comes from the end of the reign of Přemysl Otakar II, in 1278. It was a settlement located under a castle or fortress that belonged to Protiven from Zábřeh and Doubravice.
