Starojičín Castle
Historically, Starý Jičín became a market village already at the beginning of the 13th century. Other colonizing Settlements were created along the connecting roads with the surrounding area. Around 1230, Starý Jičín Castle was acquired by the nobleman Arnold from Hückeswagen, who held a position in the retinue of the then king Přemysl Otakar I. After several changes of owners, the fate of the castle was sealed. Due to the lack of interest of the last owners, the castle was quickly subject to decay.…
