Statue of St. Václav in Olešnica

On the terrace in front of the parish church of St. Vavřine on Náměstí Míru in Olešnice in Blanensko stands a monumental equestrian statue of St. Wenceslas.
The sculpture was made from four blocks of Hořice sandstone in 1941 by academic sculptor Antonín Berka, Rudolf Hrádek and stonemason Strejček for more than 51 crowns.
The rearing horse is supported by ears of wheat and grapes of wine, i.e. Eucharistic symbols.
