A larger village on the Šlapance river. It was founded in the 13th century as a mining settlement. In 1257, silver ore mines are mentioned. In the center of the village there is a distinctive baroque church from 1733. Originally a Gothic tower with a baroque onion from 1899. The village is crossed by MTZ (Přibyslav - Štoky) and ZTZ (Šlapánov - Vysoká) and cycle route 4157 (Havlíčkův Brod - Polná.
