A written record from 1347 mentions Štoky as a village, and a church is mentioned around 1372. From 1436, the village was owned by the Trčková from Lípa for 160 years, under whose domain Štoky acquired the right to hold various markets, promotion to the town, customs, tolls, death and the right to court. Since 1572, the town has used a seal with the coat of arms of the Trčk family.
