Not far from St. John under Skalou is the Museum of Limestone Mining and Transport in the Bohemian Karst? Open-air museum of Solvay quarries.
This is an already closed quarry. Here it is possible to see mining machines and take a ride on the mining train. It is located in beautiful and quiet nature. It is advisable to combine a visit to the open-air museum with a view of St. John. It is about a 1km walk from each other through the forest along the ridge.
