The original town hall stood on the square and included a school and a pub. Following the decree of Emperor Leopold I, according to which the squares were to be expanded, this also happened in Kácov. The town hall building was demolished and the square was expanded to its present form. A new town hall was built again, this time only the pub was part of it. Apparently, it was quite often a lot of fun there, and so in 1813, based on complaints...
