A burst dam.
On the Bílá Desná river above the village of Desná in the Jizera Mountains, there are the remains of a dam, known as the Broken Dam. Built in 1915, it ruptured in September of the following year, with disastrous results. 65 people died and dozens of houses were destroyed.
