Proseč, a town with more than 650 years of history, lies on the edge of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands in the northeast of the Žďárské vrchy. A small part of the cadastre in the north and northeast is already part of the Czech chalk board. This border gives not only Proseča, but the landscape in the entire area a specific character and makes it interesting and varied. The landscape in the begging area has still preserved its virginal, untouched face.
