The village of Loukov is located on the road between Ledčí nad Sázavou and Lipnica nad Sázavou below Melechov hill.
The former village disappeared, currently there are only a few lonely buildings with the dominant feature being the church of St. Margaret. The church is a remarkable example of a rural Gothic temple. The building dates from the beginning of the 14th century, a square tower with a baroque dome was added in the 15th century.
