Předklášteří is a large village with 1450 inhabitants and can be found in the neighborhood of the town of Tišnov, in the western direction and under the eastern peaks of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The monastery is separated from Tišnov by the river Svratka. The village is located at the confluence of the Libochovka and Svratka rivers.
