The trade route from Prague to the west passed through this gate and customs were collected here until 1752. The original gate was Gothic and had a gable roof. However, it was replaced by a baroque roof after a fire in 1735. The facade was created by the painter V. Preis at the end of the 19th century. a mythological scene with the god Chronos and a judge spinning the thread of life. Under the painting is the inscription "All in time, Lord God forever".
