Beroun – Pilsen gate
The Pilsen - or Horní - gate is one of the two surviving tower gates in the historical center of Beroun, Central Bohemia. It was originally a Gothic part of the city's fortifications from the beginning of the 14th century, which was remodeled in the Baroque style after a fire in 1735. Today, this prismatic tower has a mansard roof with a so-called pavilion superstructure and a turret. The gate is open to the public twice a week...
