The Pilská reservoir is located 2,6 km as the crow flies northwest of Bohutín in a wooded valley in Brdy. It is built on the Pilské stream, which rises in this valley at a height of 772 m on the eastern slope of Bohutínské vrch (843 m; sometimes also Carvánka).
The reservoir was originally built between 1849 and 1853 as a reservoir for water needed for the Příbram mines and smelters. It is currently the largest reservoir...
