In 1868, the German businessman Weber built a coal mine on the northwestern edge of Duchcova, which he named after his wife - Emma. The mine belonged to the Weber family until 1889, when it was sold to the Mosteck coal company. In 1895, the mine was renamed Frisch Glück. The thickness of the seam was 13-20 meters.
