The fountain of St. Florian stands next to the Plague Column on the Republic Square, but it is not the original fountain. The original fountain was made by Jan Ignác Poppel, Burgomaster of Duchy in the 18th century, after whom the exhibition hall ("Poppel's Exhibition Hall") in the Duchy museum is named.
