Ostruženské ponds
The Ostruženská rybníky protected site is located approx. 3,5 km northeast of the center of Jičín. It is a system of 3 ponds where there are nesting sites for waterfowl, e.g. Speckled Warbler and Great Reed. Rare species of plants are found in the surrounding Slatinny meadows, e.g. garlic nut and mountain wormwood.
