The village at the confluence of two streams was first mentioned in 1379 as the residence of Peter of Volfštejn. Later, Ostrovce was attached to the estate around Třebele Castle. In 1461, Jan of Olštejn na Třebel ceded part of the village to the Tepel Monastery. Ostrovce remained part of the Třebel-Trpíst estate until the end of feudalism. Since 1960, they have been a settlement of Černošín.
