In the southwestern part of the town of Ostrova, there is a site of a former monastery. The monastery was founded in 1666 and continued to be built until 1673. The church was consecrated a year later. It is mostly stated that the builder was Martin Rainer. The monastery served its purpose until 1852, when it was abolished.
