Nový Hrádek - a column with a statue of the Virgin Mary

The small town of Nový Hrádek is located in the foothills of the Orlické Mountains and in the Náchod district, and one of the dominant features of its Square is a late Baroque column with a statue of the Virgin Mary dating from 1747. This is a valuable example of Baroque art in this region, and as such this sandstone column was included among our protected cultural monuments in May 1958
