Nové Město nad Metují – Swallow House (Forge, Town Hall)

Vlaštovčí dům is – together with the local castle – probably the most famous and most distinctive historical monument of the East Bohemian town above the Metují river. In reality, these are several bourgeois houses with a common, recently restored, Renaissance facade. The Swallow House forms the northern front of Husova náměstí and is bordered by two corner buildings; the so-called Forge (no. 1203) and the former town hall (no. 1209).
