Nechranice Dam

Reviews

Based 0 assessment.
The Nechranice water reservoir is located on Ohře between the historical towns of Kadaň, Chomutov and Žatec. Its area is 1338 ha and its bulk dam (3280 m) is the longest in Central Europe. The main purpose of the Nechranice dam is to ensure a minimum flow under the dam. Currently, it is mainly used for recreation, part of it has been declared a Bird Area. Due to exceptionally favorable weather conditions, the water level of Nechranice is sought after mainly by yachtsmen and surfers. There is also an unofficial nudist beach. The most suitable for swimming in Nechranice is the southern shore near the village of Vikletice and Poláky, there is a stony, sandy shore and clear water. Nechranice offers accommodation in the cottages and cottages shown below.
