The Czech lands often fell victim to the plague. In 1679, the plague from Vienna spread to Bohemia. Prague was hit by a strong wave of plague, where in 1680 the Krup burgher Tobias Behr became infected, who then dragged the disease to Krupka. His entire family succumbed to the plague.
