Town of Králové
The first mention of Měštec dates from 1357. Already in that year, Měštec was a city that was protected by walls with two entrance gates and four fortresses. During the reign of Charles IV. the city developed successfully and gained several privileges. From 1363 it was pledged and a number of noble families took turns in its possession.
