The castle in Lomnice near Tišnov was originally a converted castle, standing a little above Palackého Square. The castle complex here is a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic. In the first half of the 13th century, an early Gothic castle stood here. At the end of the 16th century, it underwent a Renaissance reconstruction. It was owned by the Serenyi family and in the 17th century it was rebuilt in Baroque style and the fortifications were removed. Part of the castle is the chapel of St. F. Serafínský. Today is…
