Janičův vrch Quarry - a natural monument

The natural monument Lom Janičův vrch occupies the entire area of ​​an excavated limestone quarry with an area of ​​4,06 ha, located at an altitude of 249 - 306 m. It is located east of the prominent limestone bar Svatý kopeček about 1 km from Mikulov. Until the first half of the 20th century, there was a prominent limestone hill called Janičův vrch (or also Janičův kopec, Janišova hora,...) in the place of today's mined quarry.
