Lidice is most beautiful in June. Except for the war years, of course. Much has been written and filmed about the Lidice tragedy.
A quarter of a century since I was last in Lidice, a lot has changed. The memorial to the victims remained the same, with the addition of statues of murdered Lydian children. The garden with roses that were sent here from all possible corners of the world is beautiful.
