Lidice - Monument to child victims of war

While visiting the Place of Remembrance in Lidice, I was captivated and moved by the Memorial to the Child Victims of War. The monument was created by academic sculptor Marie Uchytilová-Kučová together with her husband Jiří Václav Hample. She started working on the monument at the end of the sixties of her own free will, without an order, just out of her inner need.
