Lidice pear tree
A living monument to wartime events. The pear tree was the only fruit tree in the middle of the village that survived the burning of Lidice on June 10, 1942. The pear tree was planted in 1941 by the municipal constable Václav Vandrdle together with Anna Peková in the town square below the church, on the spot where the old pear tree stood, but it had withered.
