A short hike to Chlumek (Teplicko) I wanted to look somewhere, but not far. I chose Chlumec, where the battle took place on August 26 and 30, 1813. The combined armies of Austria, Prussia and Russia defeated the French army of Emperor Napoleon here under the leadership of General Vandamme. I was here once with a friend at all the monuments that are scattered here as a reminder of the battles of that time. Just one monument…
