A fountain with a statue of Saint Florian

At the very beginning of the third millennium AD, precisely in 2001, work on the restoration of the old fountain began in Chomutov on today's May 1st Square. The stonework was done by stonemason Jiří Rusý, and the statue of St. Florian, which is placed on a column in the middle of the fountain, was created by academic painter and restorer Jaroslav Jelínek.
