Church of St. Ignatius
Former Church of St. Ignáce in the grounds of the Jesuit college is a dominant feature of the southern end of May 1 Square in Chomutov. The construction of the church, which began in 1663, was completed in 1668, when it was the feast of the order's saint St. Ignatius with the blessing of the building by the archbishop of Prague (Matous Sobek of Bílenberk).
