Chapel of St. John of Nepomuck in Letohrad

South-west of the center of Letohrad rises a hill called Kopeček above the town. On it stands the baroque chapel of St. Jan Nepomucký. It stands on the site of the original St. John's pilgrimage chapel from 1714. The building was built between 1734 and 1736. St. John of Nepomuck is depicted with five stars above his head, for this reason the chapel has a five-pointed plan (including ambits). The chapel was supposed to be by order of Emperor Joseph II.
