The former Kyšperk castle stood in the Middle Ages on the eastern promontory of the Hradisko cemetery, located southwest of today's Letohrad. The small castle, probably with a single tower, was fortified by ramparts and ditches, except for the southern and eastern sides, which were protected by steep slopes into the Tiché Orlice valley.
