The road from Sušice to Železná Ruda is half-empty when we head along it to the settlement of Dobrá Voda. Today our goal is the Křemelná mountain (1125 masl) and its Snow pits. In the Middle Ages, this area was the westernmost point of the district around the Kašperské Hory, where gold-bearing ore was mined. It was mined here both on the surface, and also penetrated deep into the mountain in search of gold. And it was these old shafts that got the name Sněžné...
