John's Hill in Jihlava

The center of the park is the Church of St. John the Baptist on the hill above the river Jihlava. The place is called Jánský kopeček, although it is not really a hill, but rather a spur of the neighboring Králský vršek. The church is originally the oldest building in Jihlava – it was built in the Romanesque style even before the town was founded, probably in the twelfth century.
