Smetana orchards in Jihlava

When in the middle of the 16th century the people of Jihlav were considering where to build the city cemetery, they chose the then Špitálské suburb. Today, Tyršova, Jan Masaryk and Jiráskova streets line this place next to the Horácký winter stadium. A blue tourist sign leads along Tyršová street from the train and bus station to the city center.
