John (John) of Pomuk - St. Jan Nepomucký and his statue in the town of Osek

St. Jan Nepomucký was the general vicar of the Prague archbishop, a martyr of the Catholic Church and also one of the Czech provincial patrons. The exact date of his birth is not known, but his death is. It happened exactly 623 years ago, on March 20, 1393.
