A look into the history of this wonderful baroque sanctuary tells us that Zdislava from Lemberk was at the beginning of its existence. On her initiative, a Dominican monastery was founded with a hospital and the church of St. Lawrence. This happened around the year 1252. The founder herself did not live to see the construction of the church completed. The original church was destroyed, but there is no indication of when this happened.
