Hustopeče - Ludvík Masaryk Printing House

The building has an interesting past. In the years 1880 – 1890, TG Masaryk's brother, Ludvík Masaryk, operated a printing house here. Here he printed the weekly newspaper "Auspitzer Wochenblatt" for the city and the magazine "Atheneaum" for his brother. The building later became Hotel Austria and then even the German House. The opposite house was bought by Masaryk for his parents to live on. However, the mother did not live to move, and the widowed father lived here alone...
