Mountain Kvilda
The highest settlement in the Czech Republic (1075 m above sea level) located at the foot of Mount Antýgl. The first mention of the settlement comes from the 14th century, in connection with the establishment of a settlement along the "Golden Route". In earlier times, the indigenous population was engaged in panning for gold (in the Hamerské stream), wood and peat extraction.
