The history of this place began already in the 14th century, when the Golden Path of the Kašper Mountains led through these places. There was a tower on the side of the Huťská (Zhůrká) mountain to protect the trail. The settlement of Zhůří (Haidl) was probably founded around 1720, probably in connection with two glass factories on the side of the Huťská mountain.
