Horní Moštenice can be found south of the town of Přerov in a very pleasant region and on the right bank of the river Moštěnka. Three springs of mineral water have been springing up in the village since 1856, the most famous of which is the Hanácká kyselka. Horní Moštěnice is a large village with 1550 inhabitants. The road leading from Přerov to Hulín and the railway line on the route Přerov - Břeclav pass through the village.
