Horní Moštěnice - Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

Horní Moštěnice is a large village south of Přerov with a population of 1700. The first mention of it in the annals appeared in 1131, when it belonged to the Přerov archdeaconry. A Gothic church stood here already in the Middle Ages, but it is not known exactly when it was built - perhaps it was before the end of the 13th century. In 1551, Moštěnice was elevated to a small town with its own coat of arms and seal.
