The settlement of Moštěnice is mentioned in the chronicles as early as 1141, when the village belonged to the Přerov Archdeaconry. Once upon a time, the main road from Přerov to Velehrad led through Moštěnice, but through the surrounding marshes and wetlands, which was a problem.
