The monument to the skier Bohumil Hanč is located on the road between Labská and Vrbatová bouda. An exhausted Bohumil Hanč was found in approximately these places. On March 24, 1913, Hanč took part in an international 50 km ski race on the Krkonoše ridges. He died after being transported to Labská bouda.
The second victim of the race, Václav Vrbata, was found frozen in places on today's Vrbat hill, where it is built...
